Our School Officially Establishes Qingdao Office to 

Deepen Local Development and Global Educational Cooperation

QINGDAO, June 1, 2026 – The Asia-Pacific School of Business (APSB) has officially approved and launched the Qingdao Office of its China Education Group, marking a pivotal strategic step for the university to further take root in China, optimize its domestic educational layout, and advance high-quality international education cooperation. Approved through collective deliberation by the School Committee, the President’s Administrative Meeting, as well as endorsement from the School Board of Directors and the Board of Supervisors, the new office will serve as APSB’s core operational and cooperation hub in northern China.

Located at No. 185-10, Zhengyang Middle Road, Chengyang District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province, the Qingdao Office has completed all official institutional setup, with supporting contact channels including dedicated telephone, fax, postal code and official email. Led by Office Director Yan Tao, the institution will undertake localized school operation, Sino-foreign educational cooperation, academic exchanges and brand promotion work for APSB in the northern coastal region of China.

As a leading open coastal city and a key educational hub in the Shandong Peninsula, Qingdao boasts superior geographical advantages, abundant high-quality educational resources and a vibrant international exchange atmosphere. It hosts top-tier comprehensive and marine universities in China, creating solid foundational conditions for collaborative school running and cross-border academic cooperation. The establishment of the Qingdao Office breaks geographical communication barriers, builds a standardized, normalized and long-term localized liaison mechanism for APSB, and effectively fills the service gap of the university in North China and East China coastal areas.

Geographical Location

A core mission of the Qingdao Office is to carry out in-depth joint school-running cooperation with two prestigious local institutions—Qingdao University and Ocean University of China. The office will fully leverage the outstanding faculty, disciplinary construction achievements, mature talent training systems and advanced scientific research platforms of the two universities. It will comprehensively promote diversified cooperative projects covering credit recognition, joint talent cultivation, faculty co-construction, joint academic research and collaborative curriculum development, aiming to integrate high-quality Chinese and foreign educational resources, create distinctive high-quality joint education programs, and continuously improve the quality of talent training and the core competitiveness of school running.

Beyond domestic university collaboration, the Qingdao Office will act as APSB’s northern China hub for international education development. It will focus on cross-border educational exchanges, international student recruitment, Sino-foreign academic seminars, international curriculum localization and overseas educational resource docking. The office will further refine APSB’s Sino-Singapore integrated school-running model, and firmly support the university’s global development vision of “Rooted in Singapore, Deeply Engaged in China, Radiating across the Asia-Pacific and Embracing the World”.

To ensure standardized and efficient operation, APSB has put forward clear management requirements for the new office. The office will strictly abide by the university’s institutional regulations, standardize daily operation, seal management, information submission and external liaison work. It will prioritize core cooperation tasks, proactively connect with local key universities to accelerate the implementation of cooperative projects. Meanwhile, it will strengthen brand building, expand domestic and international cooperative circles, and accumulate high-quality resources for the sustainable development of localized and international academic undertakings. Relevant functional departments of the university will provide overall guidance, logistical support, supervision and assessment to guarantee the office’s stable and high-quality development.

The launch of the Qingdao Office further improves APSB’s global educational layout, enhances the university’s brand influence and industrial radiation capacity in China’s higher education sector, and lays a solid foundation for the university’s in-depth localization, scaled development and global educational resource linkage.
