Forging Dreams in the Lion City for Thirty Years, Passing the Torch of China to Ignite a New Era

As the year draws to a close, plum blossoms bloom in the cold with subtle grace; as a new chapter unfolds, the rising sun shines with brilliant radiance. On this joyous occasion of bidding farewell to the Year of the Snake (Yisi) and welcoming the Year of the Horse (Bingwu), The Asia Pacific School of Business (APSB) sincerely extends its warmest New Year greetings and most earnest wishes to all faculty, students, staff, distinguished alumni at home and abroad, valued partners, and all outstanding individuals from all walks of life who have cared for and supported the school’s development—with the utmost sincerity forged through three decades of dedicated endeavors.

Time marches on relentlessly, and seasons flow without pause; yet the melody of education continues unbroken, and the torch of knowledge is passed down from generation to generation. Looking back to 1995, the Qiren Academy (Asia Pacific Management Research Center) was founded in Singapore, the Lion City. With the original aspiration of serving the nation through education, it sowed the seeds of intellectual enlightenment and embarked on a arduous pioneering journey on the fertile soil of Southeast Asia. In 1999, the school was honored to receive approval from Singapore’s Ministry of Education and the Committee for Private Education for an upgrade, officially adopting the name The Asia Pacific School of Business. Driven by the strategic pillars of "renaming, restructuring, transformation, and upgrading", it sounded the clarion call of an era for leapfrog development. Thirty years of trials and tribulations have been a testament to unwavering perseverance; thirty years of forging ahead have been a quest for integrating Eastern and Western wisdom. Adhering to the educational philosophy of "Integrating Eastern and Western Wisdom, Uniting Knowledge and Action", upholding the mission of "Rooted in the Lion City, Carrying Forward Chinese Heritage", and practicing the school motto of "Enlightening Virtue to Clarify Aspirations, Cultivating Benevolence to Embrace Universal Love", the school has blazed a distinctive path of education that combines international perspective with Chinese cultural heritage amid the wave of integration and symbiosis in higher education across the Asia-Pacific region.

Thirty years of dedication have yielded fruitful results, and three decades of efforts have brought abundant harvests. Today, The Asia Pacific School of Business stands tall like a towering tree, rooted in the Lion City and branching out across the globe. Six academic faculties stand side by side, encompassing the essence of Humanities and Arts, Business and Finance, and Emerging Technology Management. Four campuses are strategically located: the headquarters in the Lion City, with satellite campuses in Hamilton (New Zealand), Colorado (United States), and Paris (France) forming an interconnected cross-continental education network. Offering nearly 70 academic programs in both Chinese and English, the school features a comprehensive education system spanning from Associate Degrees and Joint Bachelor’s Degrees to Joint Master’s Degrees and Joint Doctoral Degrees, building a ladder for students to scale the heights of academic achievement. Its innovative "Five-in-One" learning model integrates the expansion of international vision, the deepening of experiential perception, the cultivation of cross-cultural literacy, the empowerment of peer collaboration, and the promotion of value-added growth. Committed to building the school on quality and strengthening it through accreditations, the school has embedded academic excellence and quality improvement into its developmental DNA. Its joint degree programs in Management have pioneered in Singapore by obtaining eight top international authoritative accreditations, including those from the Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges and Universities (ASIC), the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association (AMBA&BGA), and the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), demonstrating the international credibility of its educational standards. The school has fully implemented the ISO international quality management system and successfully passed audits by the UK’s Royal AQS and the European and American Accreditation Center (EAJAC), securing four education-related certifications such as ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 21001:2018, erecting a monument to its pursuit of excellence. Responding to the call of the era for "lifelong learning and continuous education", the school has established the Distance Learning Institute and the Professional Continuing Education Institute. It explores innovative and efficient teaching models, and develops on-the-job training and professional development programs that align with social needs and the progress of civilization, allowing the light of lifelong learning to shine on every aspiring individual. As one of the most comprehensive institutions in the Asia-Pacific region offering international mainstream language testing services, the school provides multiple exam services such as TOEIC, TOEFL, and IELTS, building a bridge for students to advance their international careers. The school has gathered a distinguished faculty team led by 47 doctors from internationally renowned universities and 2 academicians, and regularly invites academic masters and industry elites from home and abroad to deliver lectures and share their expertise. Actively integrating into the global education network, the school has become a member of more than a dozen internationally renowned academic organizations, including the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), and the International Association of University Presidents (IAUP).
