The Chinese Government-Approved The Asian Higher Education (Shenzhen) Certification Center

Fully operated and managed by The Asia Pacific School of Business

Singapore-based The Asia Pacific School of Business (APSB) has announced its official authorization by the Chinese government to establish and operate the Asian Higher Education (Shenzhen) Certification Center (AHECC), with registration code 440300223766130, organizational code MAE1JH5T-2, and taxpayer identification number 91440300MAE1JH5T2E. This landmark approval positions AHECC as a key institution for international academic credential authentication and combating fraudulent "diploma mill" practices, safeguarding China’s education integrity.

Strategic Mandate and Government Recognition

As a globally recognized academic institution, APSB operates under the ethos of "Bridging East and West, Integrating Theory and Practice," while upholding its commitment to "Rooted in Singapore, Connected to China." The university’s rigorous academic ethics and anti-corruption efforts have earned it distinction from Chinese authorities, including alignment with the Ministry of Education’s mandates to enhance cross-border educational quality .

AHECC will focus on two core objectives:

1. Authenticating International Credentials: Providing impartial verification of academic qualifications from universities worldwide, ensuring alignment with Chinese educational standards.

2. Combatting Diploma Mills: Implementing proactive measures to identify and blacklist fraudulent institutions, leveraging APSB’s extensive global network to track emerging risks.

Collaborative Network and Regional Impact

APSB’s strategic partnerships amplify AHECC’s effectiveness:

- Vietnam’s Core Position Academy (2022): A joint venture with Geely Talent Development Group to cultivate ASEAN talent, demonstrating APSB’s regional leadership in education innovation.

- UNESCO Chair in Global Health and Education (2023): Integrates health science education into its curriculum, addressing critical societal challenges.

Addressing China’s Education Integrity Challenges

AHECC’s launch comes amid growing concerns over diploma mills targeting Chinese students. Recent cases, such as the suspension of Thailand’s Phitsanulok University’s accreditation (2025) and UK’s North London University’s fraud allegations, highlight the need for robust oversight . AHECC will collaborate with China’s Ministry of Education and international bodies like EIAC (Emirates International Accreditation Centre) to implement blockchain-based verification systems and conduct institutional audits.

Leadership Vision

"With AHECC, we aim to create a trusted ecosystem where genuine academic achievements are celebrated, and fraudulent practices are eradicated," stated Prof. Dr. Johnathan Zhuang, APSB’s President and UN-accredited academician. "Our dual expertise in global standards and Asian educational contexts positions us uniquely to serve China’s evolving needs."

AHECC will commence operations in Q3 2025, offering services to students, employers, and institutions. For accreditation inquiries, contact: ahecc@apsb.edu.eu or office@ahecc.org
