Our school becomes an ACUNS member institution

The Academic Council of the United Nations System (ACUNS) will hold the 2024 ACUNS Annual Meeting and Global Governance and Sustainable Development: "Revitalizing Research to Support Multilateral Solutions" seminar in Tokyo, Japan, from June 20 to 23, 2024. Dr. Jian Yin Yiyan, the rotating chairman of the Board of Trustees of our school, will attend this annual meeting at the invitation of Tokyo University of the Arts (the organizer of the ACUNS annual meeting), and plans to actively sign and negotiate with member universities on cooperative education and academic exchanges during the meeting. .


The United Nations General Assembly adopted a resolution (A/RES/76/307) to hold the "Future Summit: Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow" in September 2024. The Summit will take the opportunity to reaffirm existing global commitments such as the Sustainable Development Goals (as introduced at the SDG Summit in September 2023), strengthen international cooperation, reinvigorate multilateralism, and ensure global commitment to action-based To reach a consensus on the future convention of "oriented". To reinvigorate global governance efforts and ensure that the multilateral system has a positive impact on people's lives, it is critical to recognize that the challenges of sustainable development (including the eradication of extreme poverty, social injustice, personal insecurity and environmental degradation) are inextricably linked to human rights and human rights. Threats to security are intertwined. The deep connections and mutual reinforcements between these global challenges, and the need for innovative United Nations system-wide solutions, have never been more pressing and urgent.


The 2024 Annual Meeting of the Academic Council of the United Nations System (ACUNS) aims to provide a platform for collaborative dialogue to discuss "Inclusion and participation in multilateral decision-making processes for international cooperation on shared values, human rights and sustainable development objectives to safeguard human security", in line with the United Nations University Mission “to build bridges between the international academic community and the United Nations system.”


The Academic Council of the United Nations System (ACUNS) is an independent, non-profit association of scholars, practitioners, institutions and individuals active in the work and research of the United Nations. ACUNS encourages and supports dialogue and research on issues of global concern and international cooperation. In February 2024, Asia Pacific Business School officially became a member institution of the prestigious Academic Council of the United Nations System (ACUNS).
